Ultra Deluxe

Ultra Deluxe is a New York City based band formed by Max Narotzky in 2015. In 2024, Jon Beres and Chris Canieso joined the live band on guitar and drums respectively. Ultra Deluxe’s music is a mixture of cybergrind, dance punk, post rock, screamo, classical and experimental electronic.

Ultra Deluxe is a political band first and foremost. Narotzky is an outspoken Marxist, high school history teacher and community organizer. Class inequality, gender inequity, imperialism, genocide, mental health struggles and environmentalism are among the topics discussed in Ultra Deluxe’s music. Since the release of their first LP, all of the band’s music has been told in the form of a sci-fi space opera. This ongoing saga references historical topics such as British Imperialism, The Vietnam War, Christopher Columbus’ invasion and genocide of the Americas as well as the modern genocides of Palestine, the Congo and Sudan

Ultra Deluxe’s live shows further showcase their political message. Their merch table features free leftist literature and free harm reduction supplies. Every single show sees Narotzky make a call to arms, a monologue on current events in the world and what we can do to fix them. Ultra Deluxe is on a mission, to put in plain view capitalism’s greatest atrocities, to bury the old world of inequality deep within the earth and dance upon its grave.

Customer Service

From the heart of Halifax, Nova Scotia––a city that feels both like a remote corner of the world and the center of something extraordinary––Customer Service creates an unassuming yet unforgettable take on indie-emo that blends influences from Modern Baseball to The Promise Ring, and has quickly become one of Canada's hardest working young bands. On the tail of playing north of 100 shows a year and being named one of Exclaim!'s best new artists of 2024, the band has is gearing up in preparation for their third EP titled If You're Here, You Must be Fine.

Out on October 31st via Royal Mountain Records, Customer Service's newest release attempts to explore themes of love, loss, and the unwavering friendships that keep us going despite it all. The EP was produced by longtime collaborator Owen Williams (SleepShaker, Neon Dreams), and Billy Mannino (oso oso, Macseal) mixed and mastered; the combination lending these songs a crispness and punch that perfectly complements its introspective core.

clairaudience

clairaudience is the ambient guitar project of Queens-based musician Mike Sheffield. A miasmic suite of drone, shoegaze, and ambient–yet undefined—clairaudience functions as a solo project, full band, and collaborative effort. For this specific performance, Sheffield will be joined by Jess Paps, Healani Combier-Kapel, Alex, Cvetovich, and Carly Salas. Last May, clairaudience released their first full length “Letters From Emptiness” on kshack records.  First Floor’s Shawn Reynaldo called it “heavy-hearted shoegaze bringing to mind the transcendent work of bands like Slowdive and Chapterhouse.” Writing for Uproxx, Ian Cohen called it “one of the most striking shoegaze releases of 2025,” going on further to say, “clairaudience work in zero-gravity reveries that recast Kranky’s early aughts output as an untapped resource for a dronegaze future.”

Pamela_ and her sons

Carbon Anderson was born in Savannah, GA and is currently based in the Hudson Valley. Their expansive work moves fluidly between music composition and painting, each informing the other in a partnered dance. Since 2015, Carbon has performed as Pamela_ and her sons, a genre-defying music project that was nurtured through their tenure in Atlanta’s experimental dance and noise music scenes. Pamela_ renders immersive, emotional, and dynamic compositions that are hypnotic and transporting, flowing from ambience to liquidic dance movements, "[strobing] in and out of tonal comfort zones... creating a tension... a pleasurable discomfort, akin to blood rushing back into numb skin."

Y_o_o_L_

Y_o_o_L_ is the evolving audio-visual project of composer, instrumentalist, and artist, Hanil Lee. Creating self-described "Slow Listening Music with visual components," Lee uses a Eurorack Modular Synth, Elektron Digitakt, and Korg Minilogue to create transmundane and luminous sounds that land somewhere between ambient, dark ambient, glitch, electronic, and drone and yet defy expectation and project listeners to different states of being. With sincerity and transparency to their craft, it is still impossible to pin down the art of Y_o_o_L_ as they avoid easy categorization.

Samantha Simmons

Samantha Simmons is a New York-based sound installation artist and selector, having developed her practice in Berlin and Los Angeles. Coming from a painting and drawing background, she explores sound through a visual lens of shape, line, color, and texture. When she works with sound, she has a specific idea of how the soundscape could create an aesthetic. Samantha researches the constant flux of processing our collective sound environment; sound is recycled and re-consumed to shape the listening experience in a process she calls a recycled listening. Her work spans Experimental, Ambient, Drone, Musique Concrète, Electro, Breaks, and Chopped & Screwed. She has performed internationally while contributing to platforms including NTS, Dublab, WFMU, Red Light Radio, Kiosk Radio, and The Lot Radio. She holds an MA in Sonic Arts from Universität der Künste (UdK), Berlin.

Thoughts on Bowling

Thoughts on Bowling is a Midwest Emo band hailing from Northwest Arkansas, putting the “mid” into Midwest Emo with blazing instrumentals and the classic whiny vocals everyone loves.

ffo: TRSH, Mom Jeans., Marietta

Adjust The Sails

Adjust the Sails is an “Emo TikTok” project from Atlanta, GA. Fronted by Shane Hurst (vox + guitar), and backed by Matty Brotherton (percussion), the duo blends catchy instrumentals with tongue-in-cheek lyrics about relationships, addiction, and death. With a hint of brain rot and a dash of relatability, these Sad Dudes are known to deliver Rad Tunes.

ffo: Modern Baseball, The Front Bottoms, Tommy Ragen

Tiny Voices

From roommates to bandmates, Tiny Voices was started in a college bedroom as a

“why not?” kind of project. After their first few shows as a cover band, they realized that what they had was special, and started writing and working on their own original music. What started as an experimental project turned into long tour drives, high energy shows, and an endless amount of good memories. Tiny Voices wants nothing more than to share their music with the world and hopes that everyone can be a part of their journey.

ffo: Kerosene Heights, The Wonder Years, Origami Angel

Latchkey Kids

Latchkey Kids were forged in New Brunswick, NJ,  playing the same dirty basements that made so many punk legends. Hanny, Joey, and Cyle are three friends who bonded over their love of The Menzingers and Pinegrove. As second- generation immigrants, Hanny and Joey have a POV that gets to the American experience of assimilation and alienation, as well as growing up and breaking up, love, and loss. After playing 100 shows in 6 months to support their record "The Week You Ran Away" , they hunkered down at Headroom Studios in Philadelphia with Kyle Pulley (Jay Som, Alex G, Dr. Dog, Hop Along) to create their new record Year of Summers, which will be released April of 2026.

Blvck Hippie

Blvck Hippie makes VHS-inspired music for anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider. By melding an emo sensibility with an indie rock aesthetic, Blvck Hippie creates tunes for getting unstuck, existing weirdly, and finding togetherness. Raw vocals pair with sticky guitar riffs to create the Sad Boy Indie Rock songs of your dreams. With their firmly DIY attitude, refusal to accept the status quo, and knack for pushing musical boundaries, Blvck Hippie has turned being an outsider into their superpower.

Grocer

Grocer is a band from Philly.

Little Hag

Little Hag is working through their issues and has a 3rd album to prove it, out now on Bar/None Records. “Now That’s What I Call Little Hag” aptly showcases the wide ranging songwriting of Avery Mandeville that takes aim at men and The Man, as seen on FX’s Resident Alien, Rolling Stone’s Best of SXSW 2025, Vevo’s DSCVR Indie and Pride: DSCVR Future Icons. They’ve performed their powerful feminist anthems at The Echo with Naked Giants, Feile Na Greine Festival in Limerick, and at The Stone Pony in their hometown of Asbury Park with Bright Eyes, Alex G, Interpol and Spoon. Little Hag are self-proclaimed bitch rockers who write undeniably modern earworms with infectious live energy, unabashed audacity and a penchant for the uncomfortable and taboo. Narc Magazine says “fans of opinionated, unflinchingly explicit, female-led punk rock, should jump straight into this one."

Kissing well

Kissing Well are an alternative rock band from Kingston, NY founded in 2024. Taking influence from singer-songwriter’s such as Neil Young, Bright Eyes and Sun Kil Moon, they blend introspective lyrics and firm, direct vocals with expansive guitar soundscapes informed by Dinosaur Jr., My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. They are gearing up to release their debut album this summer with a new single preceding in May.

Fraternal Twin

For the past several years, Tom Christie has been arranging an ever-twisting and shifting song of his own. Beginning in upstate New York where he grew up, Tom fleshed out the soft and intricate songs that became the first Fraternal Twin album Skin Gets Hot. The band's sophomore album Homeworlding is an impressively natural progression from their debut, quickly passing by in a way that demands repeat listens in order to fully comprehend the depth of the lyrics and songwriting.

Stars Hollow

To some, Stars Hollow is a fictional town in Connecticut. To those in the know, Stars Hollow is an emo band from Des Moines, Iowa, who have been crafting killer riffs and knockout licks since 2015. With songs that aren’t afraid to dig into the harsh realities of living with depression and regret, Stars Hollow have carved out a space where people can scream, dance, and thrash along to the most brutal parts of life that otherwise feel too hard to acknowledge. This approach has clearly resonated, taking the band on nationwide tours and even overseas, ripping gigs in sweaty basements and neon-lit bars to hordes of fans ready to shout along with every note.

Palette Knife

Columbus, Ohio’s Palette Knife is a 3-piece nerd-core riff machine mixing the anthemic choruses of 2000’s poppunk with smart, progressive arrangements and even cleverer lyrics.

Palette Knife’s, “Keyframe”, is a sonic adventure in serene melodies and groovy hooks. For fans of early 2000’s pop punk chorus catchiness and math rock breakdown head bobbing- this ten track full length is sure to knock your pop culture themed socks off. Rhythmic, heartfelt, and expertly detailed is what you can always expect from this three piece ensemble and their new album is no exception. “Keyframe”, is arguably addictive and plausibly even habit forming.

Dinner Time

Dinner Time was founded in Atlanta, GA in 2018 as a collaborative project, focused on bringing together songwriters from several existing groups. Influenced by garage rock, saccharine 60s melodies, and a DIY mentality, the group released their debut album DINNER TIME in 2019. The group continued to redefine their sound on subsequent LPs Halfway Down (2021) and Technicolor (2024), adding moody synthesizers, more psychedelic production techniques, and leaning into jazzier changes. The quintet has spent the years in between touring the country, appearing at Treefort Music festival, SXSW, and even collaborating with the Atlanta Braves. Now the band has come full circle, and is ready to share DINNER TIME 2. This album represents a return to form, back to the familiar influences of their debut, now with years of experience under their belts. Layers of acoustic guitars and mellow pianos evoke the sounds of the 70s, while catchy melodies and soaring guitar harmonies hint at the band’s varied influences (which include the Zombies, the Beatles, the Doobie Brothers, Randy Newman, CSNY, and Masayoshi Takanaka). Produced in collaboration with Clark Hamilton (Klark Sound, Improvement Movement), DINNER TIME 2 will be released on May 8, 2026 via Dinner Time Records.

Punchlove

Punchlove is the experimental art rock vision of multi-instrumentalists Jillian Olesen, Joey Machina, Ian Lange-McPherson, David Moberg, and visual artist viz_wel. Quietly evolving from Olesen’s COVID-19 bedroom project into a synaesthetic, headlining live phenom, the Brooklyn-based five-piece blends densely layered, emotionally serrated noise-pop with immersive performance and production—delivering an immense, original, and digitally inflected brand of modern alternative rock.

Dinowalrus

Dinowalrus is a veteran psychedelic/postpunk band from Brooklyn. Painting a sonic palette ranging from arty angular no-wave, fuzzed out garage punk, groovy Madchester dance-rock, to lush cinematic dreampop, they emerged from the DIY scene in 2008, regularly playing legendary loft venues like Death By Audio, Silent Barn and Glasslands.

With 4 albums under their belt on labels including Kanine, Heist or Hit, Moorworks and Old Flame, they garnered coverage in publications including Pitchfork, Stereogum, NME and NPR. They have played with a wide variety of like minded bands new and old including Sunflower Bean, Kula Shaker, The Telescopes,The Ocean Blue, Parquet Courts, A Place to Bury Strangers, Gang of Youths and The Charlatans UK at venues including Webster Hall, Irving Plaza, Mercury Lounge, and the Bowery Ballroom.

They have also worked with notable mixers and producers including Jorge Elbrecht and Mark Gardener of UK shoegaze legends Ride.

Sam Zalta

Sam Zalta is a Brooklyn based artist who builds a sound around the contrast of classic pop structures and a maximalist wall of sound. The music combines heavy atmospheric textures with a rhythmic drive that feels both massive and direct, an immersive collision of rhythm and cinematic atmosphere. Also a live member of the band Bambara, Zalta’s solo work carries the same high intensity found in those performances while following a direction of its own.

Duchess

Punchlove is the experimental art rock vision of multi-instrumentalists Jillian Olesen, Joey Machina, Ian Lange-McPherson, David Moberg, and visual artist viz_wel. Quietly evolving from Olesen’s COVID-19 bedroom project into a synaesthetic, headlining live phenom, the Brooklyn-based five-piece blends densely layered, emotionally serrated noise-pop with immersive performance and production—delivering an immense, original, and digitally inflected brand of modern alternative rock.

“Looking at the song titles on Innerlove’s debut LP suggests things are pretty bleak for the New York four-piece: the record is littered with songs called “Ain’t Who I Wanna Be,” “Things Stop Working,” “Hectic,” “The Way That I Live,” “Burnt Out.” But listening to it paints a very different picture–this isn’t a band burnt out and over it. Innerlove’s just getting started.

Though the band’s been putting out music since 2019, their first full-length feels like a real introduction. Stray singles like last year’s “The Wringer” have nodded towards country, but the LP fully embraces it. “Things Stop Working” is a full-on roots rock song, and “Trophies” and “26” are Innerlove’s take on bright-eyed folk. Other songs do stay a little closer to the crunchy, rough-hewn indie rock sound the band established on their Fine by Me EP–“10 in the Morning” sways and builds, and “Hectic,” a contender for the band’s best song ever, subtly weaves twangy riffs underneath pop rock melodies. The whole of it is a confident step forward for a band that’s always shown potential. It’s clear, after listening through the record, that this is exactly who Innerlove wants to be.”

Mirah Yom Tov Zeitlyn lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she works as a song writer, performer, producer and mom. In a constant dedication to expanding her tender repertoire of American folk songs into a larger context, her recordings seek to find the magical amity between explorative percussion, orchestral sounds and elements of rock and popular music.

Since starting out in the late 1990’s, she has released over a dozen solo and collaborative recordings on various independent labels including K Records, Kill Rock Stars, Absolute Magnitude Recordings, Double Double Whammy and 7e.p., and toured solo and with countless iterations of her own band in concert halls, music clubs and punk basements all across North America, Japan and Europe.

Recent releases include 2018’s ‘Understanding’ and 2020’s 20th anniversary reissue of her first full length record ‘You Think It’s Like This But Really It’s Like This’. The deluxe double LP features a full covers record with contributions from over 20 artists including Flock of Dimes, Hand Habits, Mal Blum, Palehound, and Mount Eerie.

Mirah has dedicated her creative process to investigating the complicated intersections between individuals and communities, believing that with deeper understanding ofeach other, the seeds of a more beautiful and less violent world are planted.

“Mirah propels her magical, three-dimensional spaces with her clear beacon of a voice and instrumentation that slips from whisper-in-your-ear intimacy to rushing, tumbling aural avalanches.” - New York Press

Crab

Crab is a New York City band blending post-punk energy with art-rock edge

My Love Lucifer

My Love Lucifer is the shoegaze project of NYC native Peter Carlovich (vocals and guitar). Born out of the ashes of his previous band Peter is Dead, My Love Lucifer takes the psychedelic sound to challenging new heights with a sonic assault of loud fuzz guitars, improvisational jams, and emotionally crushing lyrics. Joined by drummer Eden Pacheco (of Peter is Dead), bassist Ebban Maeda and recent recruit guitarist Matt Belen, My Love Lucifer promises to deliver a psychedelic brain melting experience every time.
