Peter is Dead

Peter is Dead is a multi media experimental art outlet lead by Peter Carlovich. The project includes many collaborators and is constantly churning out mind expanding and psychedelic media, mostly in the forms of sound art and visual art. Established out of the ruins of psych pop band Oh Oh Ecstasy, Peter is Dead was officially established in October 2019 by Peter Carlovich and Savanna Boyer as a stark contrast and opposition to Brooklyn’s dead-end “indie rock scene.” Drawing from diverse influences from all time periods and places around the globe, the work takes on no dedicated style or form and is instead a spontaneous synthesis of memories and influences that rattle in the back of Peter and their various collaborators’ minds. Already Peter is Dead has shown diverse range in their EP Assassin of Youth (released May 2020), first full length, The Secret Tape (released September 2020), their standalone video/single Temple of NOTHING (released Feb 2021) and recently a string of experimental “unofficial” releases that have been uploaded to only their YouTube page (Hellfire Songs, Abundant Sunshine, Dirge and Aquatic Rhapsodic).

Big Band

"Options" the debut LP by the experimental punk group, BIG BAND, hailing from Brooklyn. Drawing inspiration from the gritty '80s underground scene typified by "Our Band Could Be Your Life" bands, this album intricately weaves a musical tapestry reminiscent of Creation Records and SST bands, subtly touched by the nuances of art rock. It deftly sidesteps nostalgia through its innovative approach and modern sound, thoughtfully produced by Connor Hanwick of "The Drums." Spanning just 25 minutes, the record encompasses ten tracks designed to immerse the listener in a futuristic dystopian world, inviting contemplation of contemporary social and political tensions in a subtly provocative manner.
