Punchlove
Punchlove is the experimental art rock vision of multi-instrumentalists Jillian Olesen, Joey Machina, Ian Lange-McPherson, David Moberg, and visual artist viz_wel. Quietly evolving from Olesen’s COVID-19 bedroom project into a synaesthetic, headlining live phenom, the Brooklyn-based five-piece blends densely layered, emotionally serrated noise-pop with immersive performance and production—delivering an immense, original, and digitally inflected brand of modern alternative rock.
Dinowalrus
Dinowalrus is a veteran psychedelic/postpunk band from Brooklyn. Painting a sonic palette ranging from arty angular no-wave, fuzzed out garage punk, groovy Madchester dance-rock, to lush cinematic dreampop, they emerged from the DIY scene in 2008, regularly playing legendary loft venues like Death By Audio, Silent Barn and Glasslands.
With 4 albums under their belt on labels including Kanine, Heist or Hit, Moorworks and Old Flame, they garnered coverage in publications including Pitchfork, Stereogum, NME and NPR. They have played with a wide variety of like minded bands new and old including Sunflower Bean, Kula Shaker, The Telescopes,The Ocean Blue, Parquet Courts, A Place to Bury Strangers, Gang of Youths and The Charlatans UK at venues including Webster Hall, Irving Plaza, Mercury Lounge, and the Bowery Ballroom.
They have also worked with notable mixers and producers including Jorge Elbrecht and Mark Gardener of UK shoegaze legends Ride.
Sam Zalta
Sam Zalta is a Brooklyn based artist who builds a sound around the contrast of classic pop structures and a maximalist wall of sound. The music combines heavy atmospheric textures with a rhythmic drive that feels both massive and direct, an immersive collision of rhythm and cinematic atmosphere. Also a live member of the band Bambara, Zalta’s solo work carries the same high intensity found in those performances while following a direction of its own.
