Cape Crush

Drawing influences from bands like The Get Up Kids and The Promise Ring and featuring members of Boston bands such as Choke Up, The Effort, TRAGWAG, Lessener, and Matahari, the north shore’s Cape Crush consists of principal songwriter Ali Lipman on vocals, James Christopher on guitar, Jake Letizia on bass, and Cody Rico on drums. Beginning in January of 2022 when Lipman and Christopher started arranging Lipman’s songs for a full band, soon the songwriters were joined by Rico and Letizia. Playing their first show in August of that year, the band soon released their six song EP San Souci.

Touting a power-emo sound that is anthemic, dynamic, and raw, Cape Crush’s songs come to life after Lipman crafts the song structures on acoustic guitar. Guitarist Christopher then arranges each track, layering in electric guitar harmonies and rhythms. Finally, Letizia and Rico bring their own bass and drum parts to the table. Blending high octane choruses with introspective moments, Cape Crush proudly boasts a DIY aesthetic and bursts with rich harmony, layered instrumentation, and inwardly focused lyricism.

They have been featured across well-known music publications, such as Guitar World, Tower Records, Vanyaland and New Noise Magazine. Some career highs include playing The Fest 22 and 23, playing Pouzza Fest 13, and sharing the stage with Samiam, Prawn, and Piebald. Following the release of their debut EP, they performed at the Boston Music Awards, where they were nominated for 'New Artist of the Year' and 'Album/EP of the Year'. Their 3-way split, entitled Good Dogs Wear Capes, earned Cape Crush a nomination for Punk/Hardcore Artist of the Year at the Boston Music Awards.

"Place Memory," Cape Crush's debut album is out now via Wanna Hear It Records.

Brackish

Brackish started in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during the summer of 2015. Harkening the sound of bands from the late 90’s and early 00’s, Brackish carries a penchant for roaring fast tempos with heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics while still holding space to slow down and get into the details. In 2026, Brackish just wrapped up recording an exciting follow-up to 2024’s Rear View EP with plans for a pressed physical release alongside a label and more surprises in store.
